We now offer an on-farm Pig Home Kill Service.

Often searched for as a “mobile abattoir”, our service is a fully licensed on-farm pig home kill service for smallholders, carried out calmly and humanely at your holding.

Our mobile service allows pigs to remain in familiar surroundings, avoiding the stress of transport to an abattoir. As with all our work, we operate quietly, professionally, and without rushing.

Pig home kill is not suitable for every setup, which is why we always start with a conversation to make sure the service is right for you and your pigs.

What the service includes

Our pig home kill service is tailored to your requirements and your setup.

Options typically include:

  • Slaughter and dressing only

  • Slaughter, dressing, and basic butchery

    Everything is discussed in advance so expectations are clear before the day.

Pig butchery options (important)

We offer basic pig butchery only as part of our mobile service.

This includes straightforward carcass breakdown into usable joints and cuts suitable for home use.

We do not offer:

  • Bacon curing

  • Sausage making

  • Minced pork

  • Further processing or value-added products

These processes require additional facilities and time beyond what is appropriate for on-farm mobile slaughter.

Many smallholders choose to carry out further processing themselves or use a specialist butcher if required, which is why we offer the option of Slaughter and dressing only as an alternative.

Because of this, we don’t publish fixed prices for pigs.

We will always talk everything through with you in advance so costs are clear, fair, and agreed before anything is booked. There are no surprises.

Preparing for Pig Home Kill

We ask that the pig(s) to be slaughtered are kept in a small, separate pen before we arrive, so handling can be calm, safe, and controlled

We’ll guide you based on your specific setup, but in general we’ll talk through:

Keeping pigs calm and settled

Access for our vehicle and equipment

The safest working area on your holding

Any short feed or preparation guidance
